Jet black hair flowed over my shoulder, waved and curled in it's layers. My bangs slightly swept over my blue-green eye, while the other glowed brilliantly in full view. I wore a black long trench coat, as it was a cold night, but black shorts with my ed hardy tubetop and my see-through-tights. Like usual, I had an industrial piercing, my hawk egyptian necklace, several rings, and an eyebrow piercing. The shadows seemed to be my cloak, as I was hardly seen in all the black.

I stood a few feet behind the cloaked figure, in much deeper shadows. Like the other person my clothes were all black but I had on a pure black tunic with matching capris and had no necklace, piercings, or anything else of the sort. I watched with slightly narrowed, bright red eyes, one of two things that might betray my presence if they turned around. That and my hair that, streaked with the same color among the naturally black hair.

[guess i got my answer]
I sat there on a worn out bench. It creaked under my weight, light as it was. My green hair fell , hiding my face as i leaned over my book. My green miniskirt covered my legs respectably, and my green polo had its collar flipped up to block out the blowing wind. It was simply my school uniform, plus the fact I loved green. I looked up for once to see all the other people milling around and blinked my dark green eyes slowly. I stood up, closing my novel, and walked over to the girl in the tutu.

I felt like a rainbow compared to the people I saw around me. Here was all these people, walking around in dark colors or simply just black, while you got me, going aroun in a sparkly rainbow tutu with black leggings. I wore converse that were canary yellow and had black laces. My tank top was hot pink with a silver skull on it that seemed to be covered by way to much glitter. I stood there awkwardly for a second, feeling my teased up green, blue an black hair drift around in the slight breeze. I tried to shove my hands in my pockets, only to realize I didn't have any after my many bracelets snagged in the webbing of the color tutu. I probably looked like a freak standing there, but I didn't care.

I slouched against the brick wall, my piercing, icy blue eyes scanned my surroundings. Running my fingers through my short, brunette hair I noticed the group of girls. Raising a brow, I wondered what they were all doing, standing or sitting without talking to each other. Shrugging, I headed over, pulling up my dark jeans and I was wearing a light gray Beatles shirt, that was my favorite item of clothing. As I approached the group, I smiled. With a nod, I called out "Hello." My voice was smooth and flowed like a river of honey. I was known for my silky words, and persuasive attitude, but despite that, I am not the manipulative type.

I turned my gaze to the other girl, the one that was a 'rainbow' and muttered a few words of disgust under my breath. Then I looked at the brunette and simply raised my hand slightly in a half-hearted wave.

My purple eyes, colored that way by contacts, trailed over to the other newcomer. I questioned if he was talking to someone in specific or just in general. Instead of standing there like an idiot I decided to speak. "Hey." What a brilliant response. Not. When I noticed the other girls disgust in my choice of clothing, I frowned. I mentally told myself not to blow. It did get on my nerves when people did that... couldn't they just say it to my face instead of making little subtle remarks to themselves.

I nodded with a slight smile. "Nice converse. Yellow is one of my favorite colours." Although I wasn't lying, I raised my brow. I seem to have a habit of doing it. I guess when you do it as often as I do- to give me a slicker look- you can't really stop. "I'm Darry." I said in general. "You guys are..?"

"Someone you don't know," was my only reply. No one knew me - I always kept to myself, just as now - and I knew Darry most defineitley didn't know me.

"Kelsey," I responded after he asked for our names. I was one of those many people who didn't care for my name. I couldn't have had a more plain name. Oh well. It suited me.

"Ah, I see." I narrowed my eyes at the rude girl, I hated people like that. Okay, maybe I was being hipocritical- I mean, when i was younger no one could get me to talk to strangers, and everyone I didn't know was an immediate threat, but I learned. I didn't say anything, but I had half a mind to put her in her place.

I turned my attention to Kelsey. "Nice to meet ya, Kels." And I held out my hand, indicating she should sake it.

For a moment I ignored Darry then muttered, "I've got nothing better to do." Then, adressing Darry, I said, "My name's Shadow. I'm just not the most... social of people."

I shook his hand, smiling wide and happily. I found it funny how everyone either called me Kel or Kels. I liked it though. It was a nice alternative to constantly being called the same thing over and over again. She looked over at Shadow, her eyes flashing slightly.

"What, you think there's something wrong with my name?" I asked, returning Kelsey's gaze and instinctively jumping to my defense.

""What, you think there's something wrong with my name?" I asked, returning Kelsey's gaze and instinctively jumping to my defense."
"No. Its unique. Very unlike mine. I have a friend named Scotland. Coolest name ever." I replied, still smiling. " I don't mean to stare or anything either. It's just my way of showing interest."

"I get it." I muttered to Shadow, my icy eyes intensified with understanding, and a flash if pain passed through them as I remembered my younger teen years. Because of my broken home I had done stud and seen things a thirteen year old never should have. I was hard and tough, not letting any emotion in or out. But I had grown out of it.

Ignoring the petty fight, I just carried on talking. "Scotland's a cool name. Darry isn't actually my real name though-it's a nickname that's just stuck for my whole life."

I looked at the group of people with my deep green gaze as I walked along the sidewalk, jet-black converse grazing across the hard surface beneath my feet. I wore my ususal somewhat baggy black jeans, a red-and-black checkerboarded belt, and a casual black tee. "Hello," I greeted without fear or even the slightest hint of shyness. Just barely had I heard their little conversation, but I decided not to say anything or even try to become involved in it. With a friendly smile I raised my hand, gently pushing my light brown bangs off of my face as I looked from one person to the other, noticing there was only one other guy here.

{ Yush, I'm roleplaying a guy~ ^^ Just saying so someone doesn't think it's a girl.. }

(I know, I was like... How do I make mine sound like a dude? xD)

I nodded at the newcomer. "Hi." Automatically I was sizing him up, but when I realized what I was doing, I sighed internally. I had to stop thinking everyone was the enemy. "I'm Darry."
